Last September, my husband and I were invited to a wedding down in Puglia, Italy. A region I had never been to and now wonder why. Comprising of olive groves, hill top towns, trulli houses dotted around the countryside with the town of Alberobello at its epicentre, and hemmed by a sun beached sandy coast.
The beauty of this region is what attracted the Pesch family back in 1996. They started flying there every summer from the US and documenting it as a blog called Living Apulia before settling down permanently a few years later. That's when they decided to give their followers the opportunity to properly experience "Living Apulia" by offering holiday villas to rent, properties to buy, or sharing their favourite places to stay and local tips.
We were lucky enough to stay in one of their holiday villas. An old farm house, newly restored with a huge swimming pool as well as a children's pool, a gym, big bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, thick walls to keep the rooms fresh and a wonderful breakfast served every morning before we head out to explore the valley and its treasures. I couldn't recommend their villas enough.
All of Living Apulia's villas are picked for their unique character and offer services such as pick ups and drop offs to airports, information on good restaurants, catering services and can even find local musicians if you wanted to host a party in your rented villa. They can arrange cooking classes, historic town tours, or source a guide to take you on different nature trails.
Puglia is all about simple pleasures and Living Apulia is there to help you with any fun you may want to have. I highly recommend the region for your next holiday.
