Hi.

Welcome to my blog. A small insight in things I have found useful and beautiful.  I hope you enjoy it!

Big Bib London

Big Bib London

Bored of finding a huge pile of laundry every week, scrubbing stains or having to throw a nice white shirt away just because your kid has spilt something that just won't go. Try a Bigbib.  These easy-to-wear tunics are fantastic.  Not only are they really smart, made with 100% cotton or linen fabrics but they are also very practical.   They are designed to slip over any child's head from 2 to 7 years old - one size fits all, can be washed at 40C and are reversible to provide 4 clean sides.

Bigbib was launched last September by Alice Bulkai. With three children under 7,  she knows first hand what its like to constantly be cleaning and wiping after kids.  Alice created these Bigbibs to help make our lives cleaner and prettier whilst doing it’s bit for the environment.

"All the bibs are handmade in the UK and I source fabrics from Europe. I am very fussy and only use materials that are thick enough, wash well, look good and are 100% natural!" says Alice.

I don't know about you but my son, Max, returns home most days from nursery with a nice paint or food stain on his jumper or trousers or both...  Until the age of 6 or 7, children are still learning how to hold a paint brush properly, a colouring pen, or negotiating a fork full of spag bol. I know that... but I still want my child dressed in a nice cashmere once in a while, a crisp white shirt or beige shorts.

There is nothing more frustrating when you see them wear a brand new item of clothing and find a horrible stain on it. Bigbibs cover your children's nice clothes during nursery hours and meal times, that way you are avoiding most spillage opportunities and allowing them to wear their outfits a few days in a row, reducing your pile of washing substantially.

You might argue that wearing a Bigbib defeats the point of buying any nice clothes if nobody gets to see them, but I believe that the bibs don't need to be warn all day, just during typical "dangerous staining times".

Bespoke monogramming is now available on the bibs which makes a great gift.  It also means you can have your child's name added to it for nursery and school so as not to loose it.
